Our promise
Know the good your money does.
We assess organizations and then direct people’s money, time, and skills to the ones that do the most good per dollar.

What we do
Four kinds of work, one purpose.
We research what good work achieves, connect people’s money, time, and skills with for-impact organizations, equip those organizations with tools, and grant funds where the evidence shows they do the most good per dollar.
1
Connect
We connect people with for-impact organizations of every kind, and help them choose between them on evidence rather than reputation. Food security or habitat restoration: help that fits what you value.
2
Educate
We assess for-impact organizations whether or not we fund them. What programs cost and what they achieve reaches the public as reports, dashboards, and plain-language guides that anyone can use.
3
Strengthen
We share the frameworks we assess with, and the guidance to use them well. An organization that can measure its own work can improve it, and can show a funder why.
4
Grant
We create and manage charitable funds, and grant them to registered Canadian charities. Every grant is sized and placed for the most good per dollar, and the prediction is published before the money moves.

Where to start
Three ways in, depending on why you are here.
I back this approach
More good per dollar, and proof it happened
For people who think giving deserves the same scrutiny as investing. Your gift pays the operating costs of all four kinds of work above.

I want to understand the method
The rigour of financial analysis, applied to social return
We measure what organizations achieve per dollar, and what we publish is not limited to the organizations we fund.

The idea
Love, kept honest. Evidence, kept human.
01 Did my gift actually get there?
02 What did it actually accomplish?
03 Is the organization I trusted good at the work?
If you have asked one of these, you are not alone, and you are in the right place.
Every dollar you give is a proxy for your time. Hours of your life went into earning it, and time is the one thing none of us can get back. That makes every gift precious: it deserves to be cherished by whoever receives it, and honoured with the truth about what it did. Nobody gives in order to be misled.
We bring the discipline of financial analysis to the for-impact sector, with one difference. The return is not measured in dollars alone. It is measured in meals served, children reading, lives restored: social returns, toward human flourishing. The return on investment is real; it is simply denominated in human flourishing instead of dollars. Different currency, same rigour, still measurable.

Giving that means something, and does something.
Why we exist
Good intentions deserve good information.
Very few organizations have ever been given the talent, systems, or investment that serious measurement requires, so people give without knowing what their giving achieved, and good work goes unfunded because it cannot show what it knows is true.
Our thesis borrows from a place that solved this long ago. Business runs on data rigour and financial rigour: audited numbers, operational measures, returns. We apply that same discipline to the for-impact sector, refined for social good rather than financial gain, and we make it accessible to organizations of every size, so the whole sector rises.

The Good Rises Fund
Give with all your heart. Choose like an investor. Watch good rise.
You manage the rest of your money with care: people you trust, evidence before decisions, a statement that shows exactly where you stand. Then you give, and all of that disappears. The Good Rises Fund is a managed giving fund built to end that. Experts, working with always-on AI, choose a small, hand-picked selection of for-impact organizations for the most good per dollar.
Most good per dollar
Every organization meets the eligibility standard, and its criteria are fixed before the search opens.
Watch your giving work
One view of your giving: the flow of funds, the evidence, and the work itself.
Every result published
What we expect before the grant, against what happens after, misses included, published at each edition’s close.
Anyone can publish a method. Far fewer publish their own predictions and then grade them. We have not found another fund anywhere that puts all three together: the selection, the portal, and the published record.

Stay close to the work
A short note when we publish new findings, assess new organizations, or launch new tools. Occasional, brief, and never a fundraising ask.
